Commendations

 

·         Preparation of a Vision Document which elaborates a 10-year perspective plan of development for the College is well appreciated.

·         Introduction of MCA and MBA is in tune with the aspirations of the students.

·         Starting numerous add-on courses and vocational programmes are also a welcome step for such initiatives empower the students in different or related disciplines.

·         Students are encouraged to actively participate in Associations and Clubs formed in different areas.

·         Adoption of 20-25 students by each teacher for closely monitoring their progress on a personal basis is good.

·         Remedial coaching offered to weaker students is most welcome.

·         College has linkages with other institutions and Industries.

·         Students are given practical exposures in research labs and other institutions. Many teachers are engaged in writing of books. Some are research guides of Nagarjuna, Madurai Kamraj and Alagappa Universities.

·         A Reader and a retired Principal bagged Best Teacher Award of the AP Govt.

·         Many faculty members are involved in various socially useful activities and contribute articles to newspapers to enlighten the people.

·         Campus is well maintained with attractive gardens and lining trees to create good academic ambience.

·         A career guidance and placement cell has been constituted and has already made progress  in finding placement for several students, particularly in MBA and MCA courses .

·         M. Sc course in Oils and Fats is very innovative and unique.

·         Management structure is coherent and takes interest in the healthy growth of the institution.

·         Quite a few teachers served or still serve various University academic bodies like Boards of Studies etc.

·         Sports facilities are excellent and the performance of the students in various items of competition is admirable.

·         Teacher are motivated to organize and to participate in seminars conferences and present papers.

·         Participation of the institution with community in a number of developmental programmes through its NSS is also a remarkable future

·         The harmonial and cordial relationship among students, teachers, non-teaching staff, Principal and the Management is worth noting

·         The College is making good use of technology for teaching, learning and Library. Various teaching aids such as OHP, LCD projector, Internet, etc are in use to make teaching more effective and interesting.

·         A few NCC cadets participated RD parade, New Delhi consecutively for the last 24 years.

·         Ms. Sri Lakshmi, B. Sc. Final year students secured Silver Medal  in the 33rd National Games – 2007 inTaekwondo Heavy Weight category. She also bagged several prizes in Taekwondo at both National and International levels like 2nd Asian Junior Taekwondo Championship (Vietnam) 16th Asian Taekwondo championship (Korea).

·         B. Ramakrishna and NCC cadet represented A. P. at the Thal Sainik camp during the academic year 2005-06. He stood first in NCC at AP state level camp.

·         Staff of PG Departments have been visiting many universities like Annamalai, Pondicherry, IGNOU in other states as resource persons

·         Dr. K. Sarada Devi has been the resource person UGC Refresher Programmes and a core Resource Person to CHARCA Project – a UNICEF initiative.

·         The services of NCC Officer Major Dr. T. Rosaiah has been commanded by Defense Secretary, New Delhi.
