Department of Political Science:  The Department, an offshoot of erstwhile combined history Department was headed by Sri. R. Seshaiah, M.A., a well know author, for more than 2 ½ decades. Two of the past faculty members of this Department are in High positions, one Sri. C.V. Narasaiah, I.P.S and another Dr. P. Krishna Prasad as Professor in Andhra University School of Distance Education. At present Sri. J. Anjaneyulu, M.A., LL.B. P.G. Diploma in P.A. heads the Department. Sri J. Anjaneyulu served as deputy Warden of the College hostel for men, Programme officer for NSS, Asst. Coordinator, A.U. School of distance education with distinction. The other members on the faculty include Sri. D. Ramajaneya Prasad, M.A., an alumnus of this institute and I Rank holder at P.G. degree of Andhra University , Sri. V. Poorna Chandra Rao, M.A. (Pol), M.A.(P.Ad), M.A.(His) an accomplished orator, who has authored two books and 10 articles. He has been the convener of Debate, Quiz and cultural activities of the College since 1980. He has been acting as Asst. Coordinator, A.U. School of distance education study centre at the College since 1990. He teaches politics and Public administration for under graduate courses at A.U.S.D.E.S.C; B.R.A.O.U.S.C. and A.N.U.C.D.E S.C located in the College. Sri. A. Ramakrishna Reddy, M.A., an old student of this College has recently joined the Department by transfer.
