Department of Sanskrit: The Department has a checkered history and it was headed by Sri. Bhrugumalla Raghunayaka Gupta, M.A., a veteran Scholar, for more than 3 decades. For some time, Sri. Swarna Samba Siva Rao, M.A., also rendered his services to the Department. Now the Department is headed by another young stalwart, Poet, Actor Sri. K. Raghunatha Reddy, M.A., B.Ed., Sahitya Vidya Praveena. He is on the U.G. Board of Studies in Sanskrit of Acharya Nagarjuna University as a member. He is also a talented writer with a sweet voice.
